Fraud Policy

1. What constitutes fraud on this platform

• Posting fabricated work briefs to collect applications without intent to engage.
• Submitting false credentials, fake business registrations, or forged documents during verification.
• Misrepresenting completed work to obtain milestone releases or payment.
• Initiating chargebacks or refunds for work legitimately completed and released.
• Impersonating another account or using a stolen identity.
• Colluding with another account to artificially inflate reviews or outcomes.
• Using the platform to launder funds, facilitate money transfers not related to legitimate work, or circumvent payment processor terms.
• Creating multiple accounts after being suspended to circumvent enforcement.

2. Detection methods

Ecovira operations uses a combination of automated pattern detection, manual review, and third-party fraud prevention signals to identify suspicious activity. High-risk transactions and newly registered accounts posting high-value work are subject to enhanced review.

We cooperate with payment processors (Stripe, NOWPayments where active) on fraud signals and may report confirmed fraud to relevant authorities.

3. Consequences of fraud

• Immediate account suspension or permanent ban.
• Funds held pending investigation and potentially reversed or forfeited.
• Reporting to payment processors resulting in permanent processing restrictions.
• Reporting to law enforcement where required or appropriate.
• Civil recovery of losses where applicable.

4. Reporting suspected fraud

If you believe you have been the target of fraud on this platform, or you have witnessed suspicious behaviour:

1. Do not release milestone funds until the issue is resolved.
2. Open a dispute from the payment facilitation screen if a contract is involved.

5. Platform liability limitation

Ecovira Global takes reasonable measures to detect and prevent fraud but cannot guarantee that all fraudulent activity will be identified or that losses will be recovered. Participants remain responsible for their own due diligence when entering engagements, particularly for high-value or unverified counterparties.
