Independent Contractor Disclaimer

1. Platform role — facilitator only

Ecovira Global and WorkVira Nexus operate as a technology coordination facilitator. The platform provides structured tools for businesses and professionals to find each other, agree on work terms, coordinate execution, and optionally process payments.

Ecovira Global is not:

• An employer, co-employer, or joint employer of any provider or professional on the platform.
• A general contractor, principal contractor, or responsible party for any physical work.
• A licensed employment agency or labour hire provider (unless explicitly stated in a separate agreement).
• A staffing agency, recruiter, or intermediary engaged in employment placement.
• A party to any contract between business and professional.

2. Independent contractor relationship

Professionals using WorkVira Nexus operate as independent contractorsor business entities — not employees of either Ecovira Global or the businesses they serve through the platform, unless a separate written employment agreement expressly creates that relationship.

Businesses engaging professionals through the platform are contracting directly with independent providers. Classification of that relationship as employment, contracting, or otherwise is the responsibility of the parties — not the platform.

3. Tax and superannuation obligations

Each participant is solely responsible for determining and meeting their tax, superannuation (where applicable), and withholding obligations. This includes income tax, GST/VAT (where applicable), super guarantee contributions (for deemed employees in some jurisdictions), and contractor reporting requirements.

WorkVira Nexus does not withhold tax, calculate super, or issue employment-related payment summaries. Coordination fee receipts are available for record-keeping purposes only.

4. Work health and safety

Each party to a work arrangement is responsible for their own WHS/OHS compliance under applicable law. For physical work, the business managing the worksite is typically responsible for site safety; the professional is responsible for their own qualifications, PPE, and safe work practices.

The platform does not supervise, inspect, or certify worksite safety.

5. Insurance

Neither the platform nor Ecovira Global provides public liability, professional indemnity, workers compensation, or any other insurance coverage for participants or their work. Participants should obtain appropriate insurance for their activities independently.

6. Employment law determination

Whether a particular engagement constitutes employment, independent contracting, or a deemed employment relationship under applicable law is a legal question that varies by jurisdiction, the nature of the work, the degree of control exercised, and other factors. The platform does not make this determination.

For ongoing, recurring, and managed-project engagements in particular, participants should seek independent legal advice about their classification obligations before entering long-term arrangements.
